We make your kids feel like stars. Students walk away their first lesson playing one of their favorite riffs. Typically after a month, students can play 4 short songs and are able to groove in one of their favorite styles.
They learn the language of music so they have the ability to play what they want to play. They learn how to just sit down and play.
Students have monthly performance events where they learn to play in a band, work as a team and learn how to take their practice to performing professionally on stage. Students have more performing opportunities than any other school in Sherwood Park.
Our bass instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic basses. Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of bass method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes. We also carry our own method books.

You can get started within 1 week! Enrollment is always open and you can start at anytime.
(Lessons are at the same time and on the same day each week, but can be changed if sports or other schedules require you to move spots!)
Our bass instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with you to craft a lesson plan that fits your individual needs and the student’s favorite type of music. Whether you’re playing in local bands, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the bass after many years, we’ll set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.
We teach all styles, from rock, pop, jazz, and blues to metal, country and classical bass – on electric and acoustic basses.
Our bass and music instructors have received their education from prestigious institutions such as Macewan University, University of Alberta, SNFU University, University of Arkansas, Humber College, Many have toured the US and Europe, and bring over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
Beginner bass students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Our instructors balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson presents a new technical challenges or theory concept, and ends with something fun, such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of bass method books including our own, and encourage students to bring their smartphone or CDs to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
For your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson. But to practice at home, you will need a bass. We will also help you find a bass.
